“You Have Been Helped With Prestige”
At the end of the 19th Century a devout Muslim, Hadhrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad(as), made an incredible claim. He declared that he was the Promised Messiah whose advent had been eagerly anticipated by the followers of the major religions. He pledged to remove people from immoral and impure practices and would stem the tide of darkness that had engulfed the entire world. Yet he was a solitary figure in a tiny and unknown village of India called Qadian. He was without adequate resources to carry out his mission. The Muslims who had declared him the champion of Islam for his fearless defence of Islam and scholarly works now became his staunch enemies. He was mocked, ridiculed and persecuted even by some of his relatives.
It seemed humanly impossible for Hadhrat Ahmad(as) to achieve such lofty aims. However the support of God manifested upon his Messiah in a phenomenal manner. “So many signs have been manifested for me” he said, “as defy counting”. These signs have been repeatedly discussed in this magazine, and there are countless books and literature written on this topic for our readers to study (visit www.reviewofreligions.org and

At the time of his passing, Hadhrat Ahmad(as) had hundreds of thousands of loyal followers and his truthfulness had been demonstrated through the display of thousands upon thousands of signs. Some of these signs, he explained, would also be repeated or fulfilled afterwards in other ways through his Successors (Khulafa). Over the last century, the signs of Divine Succour have been seen in the lives of the Successors of the Promised Messiah(as) in magnificent fashion.
