Islam, The Holy Qur’an,  84:7.

Symbol of Islam: Crescent Moon and StarNobody has ever eaten a better meal than that which one has earned by working with one’s own hands. The Prophet of Allah, David (as) used to eat from the earnings of his manual labour.
Islam, Saying of the Holy Prophet (sa), Sahih al-Bukhari, Hadith 2072.

Symbol of Islam: Crescent Moon and StarDo everything while being fearful of Allah. Where does Islam teach that you should give up work and sit idle like the handicapped; and, instead of being of service to others, become a burden upon them? Nay! Laziness is a sin. Judaism, The Torah, Deutronomy 28:11-12

But we urge you, beloved, to do so more and more, to aspire to live quietly, to mind your own affairs, and to work with your hands, as we directed you, so that you may behave properly towards outsiders and be dependent on no one.

Christianity, The Bible, 1 Thessalonians 4:10-12

Hinduism, Bhagavad Gita, 3.6-7

One who claims to be a saint,

And goes about begging –

Touch not his feet!

He whose livelihood is earned through work,

And part given away in charity –

Such a one, Nanak, truly knows the way to God.
